Start with the usable capacity allocated to your equipment, then divide it by the equipment’s average current draw:

Estimated runtime in hours = usable amp-hours ÷ average current in amps.

For example, allocating 80Ah to equipment averaging 10A gives an estimate of eight hours. Allow for changing loads, temperature, battery condition, and energy reserved for engine starting. Treat the result as a planning estimate.
