ABYSS® 12V 60Ah Dual Purpose Lithium Marine Battery

This dual-purpose model offers starting capability for compatible 12V marine engines plus deep-cycle energy for suitable electronics and accessories. The 22NF case is useful where space is limited and the planned house consumption fits a compact bank.

Choose it from the actual starting requirements and load schedule. Compact size can simplify placement, but it does not replace checking reserve capacity for a full day of equipment use.

Check the exact engine model's minimum battery requirements against the current battery specifications, including starting demand and charging-system compatibility. Do not approve the installation from engine horsepower or the 60Ah capacity rating alone.

Have the dealer document the match before replacing the original battery. This is particularly important when starting and accessories share one battery, because the installation must retain enough energy for restarting.

Calculate the average combined battery current and the hours you expect to use each load. For an initial estimate, divide 60Ah by the average draw, then allow for starting reserve, equipment duty cycles and operating conditions.

A compact battery may suit a modest electronics package but leave less margin for long stationary sessions. If the budget is tight, choose more capacity or separate the starting and house functions in the system design.

Match the current battery dimensions to a suitable tray and hold-down rather than relying on a larger existing tray to restrain it. Check terminal access, cable reach, bend clearance and the strength of the mounting surface.

Use a marine restraint that prevents movement and protects the connections. Confirm any tray, strap or cable requirements when ordering; the battery's compact format is not a promise of included mounting hardware.

Use a compatible 12V LiFePO4 charger with voltage and current settings appropriate for this 60Ah model. A charger suitable for a larger battery should not be assumed suitable at its highest setting.

Compatible engine charging is supported, with the alternator, regulator and any isolation equipment verified for the installation. Check actual charging performance during handover rather than assuming the previous AGM setup needs no review.

Use the compatible ABYSS battery app with a nearby supported phone to view the available Bluetooth readings, including battery status and diagnostic information. Check charge before leaving the dock and review consumption while learning your typical usage.

This model's specified monitoring connection is Bluetooth. If you require battery information on a multifunction display, plan a supported marine-network solution rather than assuming the phone connection supplies NMEA 2000 data.

It is intended to make retained energy available for an emergency starting attempt once the battery reaches its reserve condition. Ask the installer to demonstrate the correct procedure for the battery supplied.

Keep normal use within a planned energy budget and recharge promptly after reserve use. The button does not guarantee an engine start or correct an incompatible engine, poor connections or a battery fault.

A compatible 12V trolling motor can use a correctly protected 12V supply within the battery's limits. For higher voltage or added capacity, this model supports approved series or parallel arrangements within its published configuration limits.

Use matching batteries and a charging plan designed for the completed bank. Avoid combining it with lead-acid batteries or assuming that any combination of battery count and charger banks will work.

Review internal heating, BMS behavior, warning indications and the specified charging and temperature limits. Built-in heating helps cold-weather charging within those limits, rather than making every freezing-weather charging setup acceptable.

Before delivery, verify starting, charging, app access, secure mounting and protected connections. Inspect the external installation periodically and follow the current storage instructions. Investigate repeated shutdowns or abnormal heat before continuing to use the battery.
