DC Battery Chargers
Make the most of your time underway with ABYSS® DC-DC battery chargers. Our marine alternator chargers use available engine-generated power to replenish compatible trolling motor batteries while your engine runs. A DC-DC charger regulates power between battery systems, delivering the charging voltage the receiving battery requires. That means the run between fishing locations becomes an opportunity to recover energy for the next stop.
Our lineup includes 24V and 36V onboard alternator chargers, along with a 36V High Output DC-DC Alternator Chargeroptimized for ABYSS 36V 75Ah and 105Ah lithium trolling motor batteries. These solutions bring regulated charging to different battery capacities and boat configurations. The high-output model uses constant-current and constant-voltage charging stages to manage energy delivery, with built-in protection against excessive voltage, current, temperature, and short circuits.
For more advanced energy management, the SHARK™ Bi-Directional DC-DC Charger transfers power in both directions between compatible 12V and 36V systems. It can charge the trolling motor battery from the alternator-fed starting system, then use stored trolling-battery energy to help maintain the 12V system when operating conditions call for it. Automatic power transfer, a corrosion-resistant aluminum enclosure, and fanless cooling make SHARK™ a practical foundation for an integrated marine electrical system.
