ABYSS® 48V 105Ah Deep Cycle Lithium Battery

This Group 8D LiFePO4 battery supports compatible 48V-class deep-cycle applications, including electric propulsion, trolling motors, golf carts, utility vehicles and house systems. It is a 51.2V nominal pack. Match the equipment’s full operating-voltage range and load requirements before treating it as a replacement for an existing bank.

The published discharge limit is 200A continuously, with 400A available for up to 10 seconds. Size motors, inverters, cables and protection around the appropriate rating and real operating conditions. A peak-current figure is intended for short events; it should not be used as the continuous design limit for a vessel, cart or machine.

It describes the battery’s stored energy, while amp-hours describe capacity at the battery voltage. Estimate operating time from the average load, then account for conversion losses and an appropriate reserve. Motors at high speed and high-demand house equipment can consume energy quickly, so plan around the actual duty cycle rather than a universal all-day claim.

Use an approved 48V-class LiFePO4 charger matched to the battery’s voltage and current limits. The published charge target is 57.6V ±0.8V, with a 20A standard charge rate. Shore charging, solar controllers and other charge sources each need compatible settings; a 48V lead-acid label alone does not establish suitability.

Yes. Bluetooth monitoring is available for compatible Android and iOS devices, and the battery includes internal heating for cold-weather charging. Use the app to review status and operating conditions, and follow the approved charging procedure. Heating does not remove the need to respect the battery’s charging and storage limits.

The published dimensions are approximately 20.67 × 10.63 × 8.66 inches. Check the mounting surface, retention method, terminal access and cable bend clearance, and use the specified terminal hardware. A suitable tray, disconnect and circuit protection should be part of the installation plan; confirm required accessories when ordering.

This model supports up to four matching batteries in parallel according to its published specifications. Series connection is not supported. A larger bank needs coordinated charging, cable sizing, protection and current sharing. Have ABYSS review the bank arrangement before adding modules, especially when supporting high-demand propulsion or inverter loads.

This is a deep-cycle battery for compatible 48V-class equipment; do not select it as a 12V engine-starting replacement. For 12V accessories, use a converter rated for the battery’s full voltage range and the accessory demand. Engine starting and mixed-voltage systems require their own application and protection review.

No. The integrated BMS manages battery protection, while external protection must be selected for the installed cables and equipment. Include an appropriate disconnect and correctly rated overcurrent protection in the system design. Confirm the installation requirements for the motor, inverter or vehicle as well as the battery.

Isolate nonessential loads during storage, follow the supplied charge and temperature guidance, and check battery status periodically. Retain the receipt, serial number and installation records.
